Air Force Technical Sergeant Mike Mullenberg and his family will be recognized by the Packers and Festival Foods at today's game vs. the Houston Texans for 'Operation Fan Mail.'

Mullenberg, who resides in Tomah, Wis., is currently stationed at Volk Field's Combat Readiness Training Center as an airfield systems technician where he maintains air traffic control and landing systems that aid in guidance and navigation of both military and civilian aircraft.

An Air Force veteran of 12 years, Mullenberg began his career as a ground radio technician with the 128th Air Control Squadron. He was called to active duty twice during his career with the 128th, the first time being after the terrorist attacks of Sept., 11, 2001. His unit was activated in support of Operation Noble Eagle to control airspace and provide surveillance for the skies over Chicago. His unit also provided air battle management in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan where he served as the non-commissioned officer in charge of the ground radio work center.

Mullenberg will be joined at the game by his fiancée, Sarah Gruen, an uncle, Jim Reynebeau, and a nephew, Nick Reynebeau.

'Operation Fan Mail' is a program of the Green Bay Packers and Festival Foods that recognizes military families at each Packers home game. The program, which debuted in 2007, will salute the family on the field during pregame activities.

To choose families, the Packers and Festival Foods are asking interested families, or friends of eligible families, to submit an essay, 500 words or less, on why a particular family should be saluted. Essays can be sent to: Operation Fan Mail, P.O. Box 10628, Green Bay, WI, 54307-0628. Essays also can be submitted online at www.packers.com.

Families intended for recognition are those that have a member serving on active duty. The family member can be a mother, father, son, daughter or sibling.

In addition to being recognized on-field prior to the game, selected families will receive four tickets to the game and a $100 gift certificate to Festival Foods.
