Catching Up With...Jason Spitz

spitz_jason.jpg

When the Packers selected G/C Jason Spitz in the third round of this year's NFL Draft, not only were the Packers happy with their pick, but Spitz's former opponents in the Big East Conference also breathed a sigh of relief.

In his senior season at Louisville, Spitz registered 81 key blocks with 13 of those resulting in touchdowns. Spitz went on to receive first-team All Big-East honors and helped the Cardinals rank ninth nationally in total offense.

Spitz also is known for his strength in the weight room as he proved this rumor to be fact by bench pressing 225 pounds 25 times and squatting 585 pounds at his NFL workout in Louisville.

Packers.com recently sat down with one of the newest members of the Packers offensive line to see if he could handle the weight of some of our random questions.

Packers.com: Who is the greatest musician of all time?

Spitz: That would have to be without a doubt the greatest, wonderboy...Jack Black.
