Green Bay won the opening coin toss and elected to defer. Bucky Irving gained seven yards on back-to-back carries before Edgerrin Cooper sacked Jalon Daniels to force the three-and-out.

Travis Glover made his first career start at right guard with the recently signed Laken Tomlinson starting at left guard. The Packers lined up Skyy Moore and Chris Brooks in the backfield on second-and-8, opening space for Tucker Kraft to gain 17 yards on a screen to Green Bay 48.

Love nearly connected with Bo Melton down the seam for a deep completion on third-and-3, but Melton couldn't finish the catch through the ground and the Packers sent out the punt unit.

Daniel Whelan's 30-yard punt bounced out of bounds at the Buccaneers' 14.

Daniels opened with a 13-yard playaction pass to Cade Otton and scrambled 11 yards to the Green Bay 49. On the next play, Evan Williams undercut Emeka Egbuka on an out route to intercept Daniels.

On second-and-6 from the Green Bay 36, Chris Brooks broke his longest run with the Packers of 27 yards. He then caught a 5-yard pass on third-and-6 from the Tampa 33 to set up a 10-yard playaction pass to Kraft on fourth-and-1.

Green Bay elected to go for it again on fourth-and-1 from the Buccaneers' 10, with Kraft motioning under center and gaining three yards on a sneak.

The Packers faced second-and-goal at the Tampa 3 as the first quarter concluded.
