COLLECTOR'S ALBUM DISTRIBUTED AT GAME, PARTICIPATING RETAILERS

This Sunday marks the kickoff of the Green Bay Packers' Lambeau Field Legends Medallion Collection program.

The Packers, in conjunction with several Wisconsin daily newspapers, are giving fans and collectors the opportunity to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the opening of Lambeau Field. The medallions include 20 legendary Packers players from the past 50 years, including Brett Favre, Bart Starr and Reggie White, plus Curly Lambeau, Vince Lombardi and Bob Harlan, and a commemorative Lambeau Field medallion.

Fans attending Sunday's game against the Chargers will receive a full-color, glossy collector's album that has space for 24 exclusive medallions. Fans not attending the game can obtain a coupon in Sunday's newspapers for a free album which can be redeemed at a participating retailer for the collector's album.

Then, on Monday, Sept. 24 through Sunday, Oct. 21, "medallion coupons" will appear in the newspaper each day. Coupons can be used at participating retailers, including the Packers Pro Shop, to purchase the Packers medallion for $2.99, plus tax. A coupon from each day's newspaper is needed to purchase the next medallion in the collection. If a coupon is missed, a "bonus medallion coupon" will be available in the paper after Oct. 21 to purchase any previously released medallion.

Participating newspapers are The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, The Green Bay Press-Gazette, The Appleton Post-Crescent, Oshkosh Northwestern, The Sheboygan Press, Herald Times Reporter in Manitowoc, The Reporter in Fond du Lac, Wausau Daily Herald, Wisconsin Rapids Daily Tribune, Marshfield News-Herald and The Stevens Point Journal.

More information on the program and a list of participating retailers can be found online at www.packers.com, www.wisinfo.com or www.jsonline.com.
