Campbell's Chunky Soup Donates 14,400 Cans to Green Bay Food Banks on Behalf of the Green Bay Packers

Fans of the Green Bay Packers have brought another championship to Title Town - a third consecutive win in the Campbell's Chunky soup "Click for Cans" online initiative to tackle hunger in NFL communities.

This fall, Campbell's Chunky soup invited fans from across the country to vote for their favorite NFL team to help food banks in their local community.

Green Bay Packers fans registered more than 155,000 clicks to capture their third consecutive victory, earning souper donations for Paul's Pantry, the Salvation Army, Manna for Life and St. Patrick's Food Pantry.

Green Bay Packers fans jumped out with an early lead on the rest of the competition and maintained a solid margin throughout the voting period, which ran October 14 to November 11, beating the nearest competitor, the Philadelphia Eagles, by more than 44,000 votes. The victory proved to be a win not only for the team, but also for Green Bay's local food banks, which earned the weight of the Packers roster in Chunky Soup cans - that's 14,400 cans of soup!

"Campbell's Chunky Soup would like to thank all of the dedicated Green Bay Packers fans who participated in the 'Click for Cans' competition," said Ted Riedell, Chunky's Senior Brand Manager. "Their efforts will assure that many in need in the Green Bay area will receive assistance this holiday season."

Green Bay Packers players Cletidus Hunt, Grady Jackson, Nick Luchey and Corey Williams were on hand Tuesday to help Paul's Pantry distribute its portion of the soup.
