Biography

  • Spent the last three seasons as head coach of the Arizona Cardinals (2023-25), where he helped the team rank No. 2 in the NFL over that span in yards per carry (4.92), tied for No. 4 in explosive runs (132) and No. 9 in rushing offense (125.5 ypg).
  • Guided the Cardinals to eight wins in 2024, double the team's win total from his first season despite playing nine games against playoff teams.
  • Served as the defensive coordinator for Philadelphia for two seasons (2021-22), where he helped the Eagles lead the league in sacks (99) and rank No. 3 in total defense (315.1 ypg) and passing defense (200.4 ypg) over that span.
  • Guided a Philadelphia unit that posted a franchise-record 70 sacks in 2022, the most by an NFL team since the 1989 Minnesota Vikings (71), and one that was tied for No. 4 in the NFL in both takeaways (27) and INTs (17) as the Eagles advanced to Super Bowl LVII.
  • Served as the defensive backs/cornerbacks coach for Indianapolis from 2018-20, helping the Colts rank in the top 10 in the NFL in takeaways and INTs all three of those seasons.
  • Spent four seasons with the Vikings (2014-17) and helped guide them to No. 3 league rankings in total defense (319.9 ypg), scoring defense (18.8 ppg) and passing defense (214.6 ypg) over that span, highlighted by a 2017 campaign that saw Minnesota lead the NFL in both total defense and scoring defense for the first time since 1970.
  • Spent three seasons (2009-11) with the St. Louis Rams as a scout, serving as a college scout for his first two seasons before being promoted to a pro scout in 2011.
