In 2025, Fuchs assisted with a Tennessee line that helped clear the way for RB Tony Pollard to register a career-high 1,082 rushing yards and five TDs on 242 carries (4.5 avg.), highlighted by a stretch of three straight 100-yard rushing games in Weeks 14-16. QB Cam Ward threw for 3,169 yards, the most by a rookie in franchise history, and was one of only five QBs in the league in 2025 to register 3,000-plus passing yards, 15-plus passing TDs (15) and seven or fewer INTs (seven).

In his first season with the Titans in 2024, Fuchs helped tutor a line that blocked for Pollard as he rushed for 1,079 yards and five TDs on 260 attempts (4.2 avg.). Rookie JC Latham started all 17 games at left tackle, becoming the first Tennessee rookie to start a season opener at LT since Michael Roos in 2005, while second-year LG Peter Skoronski also started all 17 contests.

During his three seasons at Kansas, Fuchs helped the Jayhawks rank No. 7 in the nation in sacks allowed over that span with 43. His linemen earned a total of seven All-Big 12 selections, including Dominick Puni, who earned first-team honors in 2023 and went on to be selected in the third round (No. 86 overall) of the 2024 NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers. C Mike Novitsky earned All-Big 12 recognition in each of his three seasons (2021-23) with the Jayhawks and signed with the Seattle Seahawks following the 2024 NFL Draft, while T Earl Bostick Jr. earned All-Big 12 honorable mention in 2022 and went on to sign with the Dallas Cowboys following the 2023 NFL Draft.

In 2023, Fuchs was part of a staff that helped Kansas register an 8-4 mark as it posted a winning record for the first time since 2008. The Jayhawks earned a bowl berth for the second straight year (Guaranteed Rate Bowl) for just the second time in the history of the program and the line paved the way for the No. 8 rushing offense in the nation as Kansas averaged 206.0 yards per game and posted a conference-leading 31 rushing TDs. The Jayhawks were tied for No. 19 in the country in sacks allowed (16), giving up zero sacks/one sack in eight of their 13 games on the season, and ranked No. 17 in points scored (34.8 ppg).

In 2022, the Jayhawks qualified for a bowl game (AutoZone Liberty Bowl) for the first time since 2008 and were ranked in The Associated Press poll (No. 19 in the Oct. 2 poll) for the first time since 2009. The Jayhawks ranked No. 20 in the nation in scoring with an average of 35.6 points per game, the third-best single-season mark in school history. Three offensive linemen earned All-Big 12 recognition, with Novitsky taking home second-team honors and Bostick and Puni both earning honorable mention. In his first season with the Jayhawks in 2021, Fuchs tutored a line that allowed just 16 sacks in 12 games (tied for No. 10 in the nation) after the team gave up 43 sacks in nine games in 2020.

Fuchs spent the previous two seasons at Buffalo (2019-20), where he helped the Bulls rank No. 2 in the nation in rushing (287.4 ypg) in 2020 as they took home the Mid-American Conference East title. Buffalo allowed only one sack in seven games in 2020, tied for the fewest in the country, and three of its offensive linemen earned All-MAC honors, including T Kayode Awosika, who earned first-team recognition as well as second-team All-America honors from the FWAA and went on to sign with the Philadelphia Eagles following the 2021 NFL Draft. Fuchs was named one of five finalists for the 2020 FootballScoop Offensive Line Coach of the Year Award and was also nominated for the 2020 Broyles Award, given to the top assistant coach in college football. The Bulls were finalists for the Joe Moore Award in both of Fuchs' seasons at the school, which is given annually to the best offensive line in the country.

Prior to Buffalo, Fuchs spent five seasons coaching the offensive line at Wyoming (2014-18), where his line helped clear the way for RB Brian Hill to register a school-record 4,287 rushing yards over just three seasons (2014-16). Hill ranked No. 3 in the nation with 3,491 rushing yards in 2015-16 and posted single-season school records for rushing yards (1,860) and rushing TDs (22) in 2016. Fuchs' line helped protect QB Josh Allen, who threw for 5,015 yards and 44 TDs over his two seasons (2016-17) as the starter as the Cowboys posted back-to-back eight-win seasons and two consecutive bowl appearances. Fuchs helped develop G Chase Roullier, who earned All-Mountain West honors three times as a Cowboy, including first-team recognition in 2016, and went on to be selected in the sixth round of the 2017 NFL Draft by the Washington Redskins. In 2016, the Cowboys posted a single-season school-record 6,083 total yards and 503 points, their most in a season since 1988 (511).

From 2009-13, Fuchs coached the line at his alma mater, North Dakota State, and helped lead the Bison to a 43-2 record and three consecutive national titles (2011-13). From 2010-13, Fuchs tutored consensus first-team All-American T Billy Turner, who was selected in the third round of the 2014 NFL Draft by the Miami Dolphins. Fuchs coached the offensive line at Southern Illinois in 2008, where he helped the team to a share of the conference title and an appearance in the FCS playoffs. He also coached at Grand Valley State (2007), Nebraska Omaha (2003-06), Minnesota-Crookston (2000-02), Wisconsin-Eau Claire (1999) and Valley City State (1997-98), coaching the offensive line at each of those schools other than Eau Claire (defensive line).

Fuchs broke into the coaching ranks as a graduate assistant at North Dakota State, working with the tight ends from 1994-96. He earned first-team All-America honors at guard for the Bison as a senior in 1993 from the Kodak/American Football Coaches Association. Fuchs helped NDSU lead the North Central Conference in rushing in all three of his seasons as a starter (1991-93) and helped the team win three conference championships (1990-92) and a Division II national title in 1990.

Fuchs was born April 5, 1971, in Minot, N.D. He and his wife, Emily, have three sons, Hank, Jack and Gus.
