GREEN BAY – The Packers hadn't scored a touchdown on their opening drive of a game since Week 4 at Dallas.
Doing so Sunday in the 23-6 win over the Vikings makes it an easy call for the Chevy Drive of the Week.
Starting on their own 30-yard line after Minnesota kicked a field goal to start the game, the Packers immediately faced a crucial third down – a third-and-3 after RB Emanuel Wilson caught a 7-yard pass on second-and-10. QB Jordan Love beat a Vikings blitz by finding WR Christian Watson for 12 yards near the boundary, and the Packers were off and running.
Wilson ran for 4 yards, and then TE Luke Musgrave was grabbed by Vikings S Josh Metellus on a deep ball along the sideline, drawing a defensive pass interference flag worth 24 yards and a first down at the Minnesota 23. Wilson followed with another 4-yard run before Love found WR Dontayvion Wicks by his lonesome in the left flat, and Wicks turned upfield, carrying tacklers with him all the way to the 1.
Wilson then powered straight up the middle, bouncing off an initial hit and using second effort to get into the end zone for an early 7-3 lead.
