Sargento Foods Inc., in partnership with the Green Bay Packers, today announced that as part of the annual Touchdowns for Hunger™ program, Sargento would double their donation from $1,500 to $3,000 for each touchdown the Packers score moving forward in the playoffs.
As the Official Cheese of the Green Bay Packers, Sargento donates $1,500 that is shared by Paul's Pantry in Green Bay and Hunger Task Force in Milwaukee for every touchdown the Packers score during the regular season. The Packers closed out 2019 regular season play with 44 touchdowns.
New this year, Sargento committed a $1 donation each time a Packers fan shared or retweeted a video on social media featuring Packers running back and touchdown leader Aaron Jones. This resulted in an additional $7,634 donated to Touchdowns for Hunger to help fight hunger in Wisconsin.
Since it began in 2002, Touchdowns for Hunger has raised more than $1.3 million to help alleviate hunger in Wisconsin and has provided more than one million meals to help those in need.
As the Official Cheese of the Green Bay Packers, Sargento donates $500 to Paul's Pantry in Green Bay for every touchdown the Packers score during the regular season. Aaron Jones visited Paul's Pantry to present the donation.
