Biography
Burton (6-4 1/8, 312) spent five years with the Wildcats, starting 32 games at guard and 15 at center, which is where he played his final college season.
As a redshirt freshman in 2022, Burton was named to the SEC All-Freshman team when he started all 13 games at left guard. He split his starts the following year (three at center, nine at right guard) before moving back to left guard in 2024 and then finishing at center last year.
According to Pro Football Focus, Burton allowed just three sacks over the last three years and more than 1,000 pass-blocking snaps. That was a vast improvement over his first year as a starter in 2022, when he allowed eight sacks in 426 pass-blocking snaps.
Burton cracked the 5-second mark in the 40-yard dash at the combine, clocking a 4.94 at 312 pounds.
A native of Lexington, Ky., Burton won the Paul Hornung award as Kentucky's top high school player after back-to-back first-team all-state selections
