GREEN BAY – The Packers talked all week long – heck, all offseason long – about getting off to a fast start when they play NFC heavyweights like the Lions.

So it's only fitting the first offensive drive of the 2025 season is the Chevy Drive of the Week.

Green Bay opened Sunday's 27-13 win over Detroit with a 12-play, 83-yard touchdown drive after the Lions deferred upon winning the coin toss, giving the ball to the Packers to start the game.

A penalty on the kickoff return put the Packers back on their own 17-yard line, but they got going on their second snap, as QB Jordan Love hit WR Romeo Doubs for 20 yards.

Three snaps later it was third-and-10, and Love found WR Dontayvion Wicks over the middle for a 16-yard gain, the first of three third-down conversions on the march.

The next one came on third-and-6 from the Detroit 42-yard line, as Love hit rookie WR Matthew Golden for 11 yards to move the chains again.

After an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on Lions S Brian Branch gave the Packers a first down on the Detroit 16, Green Bay faced yet another third down, needing nine yards to convert.

Love fit a quick pass over the middle into a tight window for TE Tucker Kraft, who reached up to haul it in at the goal line for a 15-yard touchdown and a 7-0 lead.

Fast start? Mission accomplished.
