Now entering his 17th season with the Packers, Mike Halbach begins his sixth season as the team's director of football technology after serving as manager of football technology in 2014. He first joined the Packers as a video intern in 2004 before working as a video assistant from 2005-14.
In his current role, Halbach oversees the team's efforts in football analytics and the development and administration of football information systems, and guides technical decisions that impact football operations. He was instrumental in the Packers' transition from paper to digital playbooks and from standard- to high-definition video.
Halbach graduated summa cum laude from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay in 2005 with a B.S. degree in communication processes with an emphasis in electronic media. He also earned a B.A. degree in communication and the arts with a minor in corporate communication.
A Wisconsin native, Halbach grew up on a family dairy farm in Hilbert, Wis. He and his wife, Stephanie, have three sons and a daughter.
