Biography

  • Saw action in all 17 games in 2022 and made his first career start. Posted 30 tackles (19 solo) on defense and was tied for the team lead with a career-high 13 special teams tackles.
  • Played in 13 games as a rookie and registered two tackles on special teams while also appearing in the postseason contest, where he recorded a special teams tackle.
  • Earned second-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference honors in 2020 after ranking No. 5 in the nation and No. 2 in the ACC with a career-best 107 tackles (54 solo).
  • According to Stathead.com, was one of three players in the FBS to post at least 100 tackles (107), three sacks (three) and six tackles for a loss (6½) in 2020.
  • A two-way performer at linebacker and running back who played for his dad, head coach Stevenson McDuffie, at Bennett High School in Buffalo, N.Y. Was a three-time captain and finished with school records for single-season tackles (161), single-game tackles (29), career touchdowns (70) and career rushing yards (5,529).
