Biography

  • Finished with 27½ career sacks to rank No. 3 all-time in program history. Dating back to 2005, ranks No. 6 in the Mid-American Conference in sacks (www.sports-reference.com).
  • Started all 52 games he played in over five seasons (2018-22), recording 167 tackles (77 solo), 46 tackles for a loss, an interception, six passes defensed, six forced fumbles and a fumble recovery.
  • Served as a team captain for his final two seasons.
  • Ranked No. 3 in the conference and tied for No. 10 in the country in 2022 with a career-best 10 sacks and posted a career-best 18 tackles for a loss that ranked No. 3 in the MAC and tied for No. 9 in the nation.
  • Selected first-team All-American by Pro Football Focus, honorable mention All-American by Pro Football Network and first-team All-MAC (PFF, PFN) in 2022 and earned third-team All-MAC honors and honorable mention All-MAC (PFF) in 2021.
  • Earned second-team all-state honors from the Detroit News and was a first-team all-conference selection while also being named to the Lansing State Journal "Dream Team" at Lansing (Mich.) Sexton High School.
