Packers list RB Jamaal Williams as doubtful for Sunday

S Will Redmond, TE Jace Sternberger have been ruled out vs. Titans

GREEN BAY – The Packers have listed running back Jamaal Williams (quadricep) as doubtful for Sunday night's game against the Tennessee Titans.

Green Bay also ruled out safety Will Redmond (concussion) and tight end Jace Sternberger (concussion/illness). Rookie guard Simon Stepaniak (knee) is doubtful.

Williams left in the first half of last Saturday's 24-16 win over the Carolina Panthers and didn't return. The fourth-year running back didn't practice this week, putting Williams in danger of missing only the third game of his NFL career.

If Williams doesn't play, rookie second-round pick AJ Dillon will spell Pro Bowl running back Aaron Jones. Dillon, who returned two weeks ago following a month-long stint on the COVID-19/reserve list, took his lone carry for 18 yards against the Panthers.

The 6-foot, 247-pound running back has 24 carries for 115 yards in nine games this season.

"AJ's had a great week of practice," said Head Coach Matt LaFleur on Thursday. "You can tell he's starting to get his wind back. Certainly, anytime you take that type of layoff, it does have an effect on you. We're just really happy to have him back. He's looked good and he'll be ready to go."

Redmond sustained a concussion late against Carolina, while this will be the third game Sternberger has missed since suffering a concussion in Week 12 against Philadelphia. Neither player practiced this week.

The Packers have removed 16 players from the injury report who are expected to be available: linebacker Krys Barnes (eye), long snapper Hunter Bradley (illness), linebacker Rashan Gary (hip), running back Aaron Jones (toe), cornerback Kevin King (groin), receiver Allen Lazard (core/wrist), tight end Marcedes Lewis (knee), guard Lucas Patrick (toe), linebacker Randy Ramsey (neck), defensive lineman Anthony Rush (illness), punter JK Scott (right quadricep), linebacker Za'Darius Smith (ankle/thumb/neck), receiver Equanimeous St. Brown (knee), guard Simon Stepaniak (knee), cornerback Chandon Sullivan (hip), receiver Malik Taylor (hamstring), and tackle Rick Wagner (knee).

The Titans have ruled out outside linebacker Derick Roberson (hamstring) and removed the following players from the injury report: receiver A.J. Brown (ankle), tackle Dennis Kelly (knee), cornerback Adoree' Jackson (knee), defensive line Jeffery Simmons (knee), center Ben Jones (knee), linebacker David Long Jr. (neck), guard Rodger Saffold III (toe), tight end Geoff Swaim (ankle), safety Kenny Vaccaro (illness), tight end Jonnu Smith (knee), running back Derrick Henry (not injury related) and receiver Kalif Raymond (not injury related).
